Late Night Writes

I know that I am not the only author that gets her best words at night.

I also know that I am not the only author that has to have good music to get the words flowing.

However, I am not sure there are many authors that will sit in bed, their hubby beside them asleep and serenading their dog to a good jam, just because they wrote a perfect scene and can't help the energy coming from them!

Okay, so I obviously don't look like that when it happens but I'm a writer and I have a very awesome imagination!

Just picture it. I am the only one awake in the entire house and I am killing it. I just wrote a scene that is hard to believe came from me. I don't have anyone to share it with but the dog...through song.

Keep up with me on...

We all know what a pain in the ass Facebook has been here recently. I have a little over 2700 followers on my page now and only get 150 views on post.

This is another reason I am going to make this blog more active. So if you haven't already, make sure and follow this page via email. Just sign up on the right hand side of the page and you will get an email anytime there is a new post about what is going on. Either new teasers, sneak peeks, special giveaways, or whatever.

For other ways to keep up to date try following me on these pages:

Sneak Peek 1 of Human Intervention

Ok, so I promised you guys sneak peeks into my newest work, Human Intervention. So here ya go.

Meet Sadie. She is a Senior in high school and a science project. But those are details for a later date.

I begin thinking about when things started happening to me. They were easy to explain off at first. A glass sliding off the table could be because condensation under the cup or the water in the sink turning on by itself was probably left on and I didn’t remember. The older I got the more I knew that it was more than that. Just like me being able to hear conversations twenty yards away.

I close my eyes briefly and when I open them again the light stings my eyes, but I keep staring. I stare until my eyes hurt so much tears stream down my temples and into my hair. Suddenly, I am shrouded in darkness. I relish the relief that the darkness gives my eyes. I pull myself up onto my elbows and something stings at my forearms. I lean over to my night stand and turn on my lamp. I look at my arm and see little cuts up and down both of them because the bed is littered with glass. The bulbs in my overhead light shattered.

     I shattered it.

Update!

Ok, so obviously if you look at my last post it has been a while since I have updated the blog. But I am back and it is updated now. I plan to make post on here at least twice a week!

I actually feel really bad about not keeping you all more into the loop than I have. I have been working my hardest to get my newest book out to you. Last time I updated you guys on where I was I was in the process of writing Ransom and Lexi's story (A follow up book to From Lies to Promises) which is a novella and now has a name: From Scars to Stars. Here is a little teaser from it.

I don't have an exact release date on it just yet but I am hoping for sooner than later. I am also working on a new project that I am really excited about that could possibly turn into a series. Human Intervention (name subject to change) is different from the other book that I have written. I'm not quite sure how to categorize it yet. It's a genetic engineering/urban fantasy. Sounds fun right!?

I also plan to do something a little differently than I have before. Every once and a while I will be posting exclusive looks into Human Intervention. So make sure you pop over here so you don't miss them. Tell me what you think! I love input.

RANSOM cover reveal & Giveaway

Blurb:

What would you do to get it all back?

Lynkin:
Desperate, careless, frantic, hieness, and frenzied. These are just some of the words that could describe my state of being after everything was ripped from under me. I will do anything to get it all back. And I do mean ANYTHING. I just didn't expect what I would get in the process. She changes everything.

Sage:
Carefree pretty much sums up my entire life. My father has made sure that I have never and will never want for anything. I have a fiance on the fast track to business success and a best friend that will always be there for me. My future is set and I couldn't be happier with it. Then it all changed in an instant. He took me away from everything that I thought I wanted, needed. Now nothing will ever be the same.
